May 2011: The Roofing Project God is still moving us forward. To get our home closer to sale, He has provided the means to replace our roof, starting with a selfless, skilled foreman and ending with an $850 donation -the exact quote for new gutters!! Over a span of ten days in May, we had a rotation of self-sacrificing volunteers helping on the roof and on the ground. Working through brutal heat and (almost) tornadoes, they never complained. In addition, Brandi’s best friend spent two horribly humid days teaching Victor how to refinish the family room hardwood floor. That was a great birthday present for Brandi!
June 2011: On a Monday night in June, a ministry visit had to reschedule. Since we already had a sitter, we took the opportunity to have a much-needed date night. Over dinner, Victor revealed that although he was excited about Internet broadcasting, he had a gut feeling that he wasn’t through with radio. The very next morning he received an email from Shine.FM asking if he could do a one-day job that Saturday. While replying to that email, he received a phone call from WGFA in Watseka, IL looking for someone to regularly host two hours of their morning program. By Friday he was filling out the tax forms and two weeks later was hosting his first live broadcast!
Victor is now on WGFA 94.1 FM weekdays 6-8 a.m.! Click here to listen live!

July 2011: On July 10th, we gave our testimony at Victory Center Ministries’ Faith Center Church in Clinton, Iowa. A couple that we have been friends with for years moved to Clinton and Christ completely transformed their lives. We had been scheduled to be the guest speakers on Mission Sunday by the founder. He and his wife welcomed us to their home for an overnight visit. By sharing their missional experiences, they gave us a “hope transfusion.” A tear-soaked offering was taken for Alaska; we were fervently prayed over and immeasurably encouraged. We cannot thank God or Faith Center enough. Believers there have been our “corner-bearers”: they lowered us through the ceiling we had hit, to the feet of Jesus.

May 2012 It's Official... Again! : )
December 2011: Victor met with Rev. Paul Nash, Director of AFLC Home Missions. We thought God might be leading us to their station, KAKN Radio in Naknek, AK. It turns out God used them as a link in the chain, connecting us to Voice For Christ. One positive that came about from this process: SEND and AFLC will be working together more closely in southwest Alaska. |

In June of 2009, we were appointed by SEND International to be missionaries to Alaska, serving specifically through Northern Light Network Radio. Due to changes in SEND, we made a "lane change"also, but stayed on the same road. In February 2012 we resigned as missionary appointees with SEND. We are now appointees of Voice For Christ Ministries, to serve through their I AM Radio Network. We recently returned from a ten day visit to Alaska, meeting with the VFCM Board of Directors and other VFCM missionaries and volunteers. On May 5, 2012 we were unanimously voted in to be VFCM's next appointees. God recently provided a young, expectant, Christian couple to rent our home, making it no longer necessary to try to sell it. We were willing to sacrifice everything for the call, and He has once again provided a "ram in the bushes" and given back something we were going to do without. The only thing keeping us from getting to Alaska now is the monthly financial support necessary to live there. If you are not already a Financial Partner with this mission, could you pray and ask God at what level you might be involved? Once you have an answer click here to Join Our Team.
